Smith Richards is now in development of a rapid drive system. This product is being developed as a power pocket door mechanism. Aside from this application Smith Richards feels this design would work well as a power hatch cover drive for the Marine Industry or as an RV/Bus step cover drive. Driving speeds range between 3 and 20 inches per second with our standard being 12 inches per second. Smith Richards has developed a circuit that allows this mechanism to express open, express close or both express open and close simply by pushing a button.
